We enter the famous Cape Breton Highlands Park and take the Cabot Trail, a loop route that can be driven, rich in nature and local wildlife, with the hope of spotting moose and bears (from a distance, of course!)
We start from the Visitor Center at the beginning of the Cabot Trail, and about 20km after the entrance of Cape Breton Highlands Park, we stop to do one of the most beautiful hikes on the island: the Skyline Trail! The view is breathtaking; did we manage to see any animals as we hoped?
We continue towards a huge pebble beach and finally find the spot that will host us for the night, surrounded by nature on the shores of the lake in Ingonish.
In this episode, however, something important happens: Ruggero resigns, and in the heat of the moment, he shares his emotions with you. It wasn't an easy moment, but at least it happened in one of the most beautiful places in Canada.
We conclude the evening celebrating this major change in our lives. We narrowly avoided the restaurant being closed. We taste the main dish in Nova Scotia: LOBSTER. Here, residents mainly live off this, as we noticed from the number of lobster traps we saw all over the province.
Disclaimer: In Canada and America in general, the term "lobster," which literally translates to "aragosta," actually refers to lobster. It's a symbol dish of the entire northeast coast of the two countries.
